Why use adhesive film to renovate furniture?

Extremely economical and easy to use, adhesive coating is a revolutionary material that allows you to give a second life to dull or old-fashioned furniture in just a few simple steps.

It can be applied like a sticker to any smooth surface, and can be used to cover cupboard doors, worktops, tables, bookcases and any other type of furniture you wish to renovate. There are a multitude of different models, textures and colors (wood, brick, concrete, marble...) to achieve professional results. You can then treat yourself to a brand-new kitchen or living room without having to dismantle and completely change the furniture.

This saves you and your customers considerable time and money. Covering cupboard doors with adhesive film will give them a modern, designer look, while keeping costs down.

The benefits of Cover Styl film

Cover Styl films can be used by all renovation and construction professionals.

They are of the highest quality, guaranteeing impeccable, realistic results. Thanks to their textured appearance, they blend in perfectly with the decor. For example, to renovate kitchen furniture, cover cupboard doors with imitation oak or walnut adhesive paper, timeless and elegant woods.

Made from PVC, Cover Styl films are not only impact and scratch-resistant, but also resistant to water, dirt, abrasion, UV rays and wear (yellowing, cracking, flaking, delamination). They provide an extra layer of protection for the furniture they cover. Another advantage is that they require no special maintenance techniques, making them easy to use on a daily basis. Steps for covering cupboard doors with self-adhesive film

Would you like to install self-adhesive film on your furniture? Do you want to cover closet doors, countertops or kitchens?

Here's how to apply Cover Styl decorative adhesive paper to furniture.

  • To begin with, remove any door handles or knobs. If possible, also remove the doors themselves and place them on a flat surface.

  • Using a mixture of soap and water, thoroughly clean the doors to remove any dirt, grease or dust.

  • Once the work surface has dried and the measurements taken, gently apply the adhesive film. For a neat application, start with the corners. Then use a trowel or ruler to smooth the film, improve adhesion and eliminate any air bubbles.

  • Once the vinyl is securely in place, use a cutter or scissors to cut off the excess film along the edges of the door. Take care to ensure a clean cut.

  • If you see bubbles on the surface of the film, use a hot air gun or hair dryer to gently heat the surface while smoothing with a clean, dry cloth to help remove any remaining imperfections.

Once all these steps have been completed, reinstall the door handles or knobs and refit them to the cupboards. You're now looking at an (almost) new piece of furniture.
